Service Dogs
As veterans, we know from personal experience the life changing impact a trained service dog can have.

PTSD & Mobility Assistance
Beginning as puppies our team spends hundreds of hours developing socialization, obedience, and task specific skills to meet the individual needs of their handlers. Once trained at the age of eighteen plus months they are ready to be placed in their new home. SAPPER K9 staff will then work with the new handler and dog to ensure a successful transition.
SAPPER K9 currently has dogs in training for PTSD and Mobility Assistance.

Owner Trained Service
Dog Program
We know that the key to success is giving YOU the skills to train your own dog, thereby creating an incredible bond with your dog right from the start. SAPPER K9 will assist owners through the process of training your own dog to meet your needs.
It should be noted that even though this process is extremely rewarding and therapeutic it is also challenging and requires and great deal of discipline and commitment.
Both you and your dog must meet the requirements of our team:
• All dogs entering our owner trained service dog program must be in good health, up to date on their shots, and must be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age.
• Owners need to be in good physical health to ensure they can work with their dog daily.
• The puppy or dog must pass an initial temperament and assessment test.
• As with all service dogs in training, your dog must continue to pass frequent progress evaluations to stay in program.
